KCA Board Elections and Chili Potluck

The KCA Community meeting, elections, and chili potluck 

Monday, March 30th starting at 6:00PM.

Please join us for annual board election and chili potluck! The KCA is seeking more board members at large and a vice president! If you are interested in being considered for a board role you can reply to this email. We will be holding the elections for the open seats, sharing events for the year, and reviewing and approving the annual budget.

The Great CO74 Trail Race

Kittredge Park → Columbine → Private Kittredge Land → O’Fallon → Back to the Park

CO74 is hosting a one-of-a-kind community trail race through the heart of Kittredge. This 7.4-mile route starts at Kittredge Park, runs down Columbine, crosses through a special stretch of private Kittredge property, winds through the beautiful canyon trails of O’Fallon, and loops back to finish where we started.

Slash & Trash Drop-off

Saturday, May 16th 9:00am-2:00pm, or until dumpster is full
Summer is right around the corner and it's time again for our slash drop-off and community clean-up event! You can drop-off your slash in the parking lot ($10 for members, $15 for non-members).

If you are unable to attend the KCA slash event, but want access to slash chipping from EFR, you can read more and sign-up here!

We'll also have a dumpster at the KCA Building and you can dispose of your trash from 9am-2pm or until the dumpster is full ($25 for KCA members, $40 for non-members). 

Slash drop allowed and not-allowed items:

ALLOWED:
Limbs, Branches, Tree debris (Maximum length - 8 feet/Maximum diameter - 6 inches), Pine needles, Tree bark, Pine cones

NOT ALLOWED
Construction material and lumber, Household trash, Metal material of any kind, Rocks, Tree stumps, Yard waste / grass clippings, Bags

BAGS ARE NOT ACCEPTED: All bagged material must be emptied into collection pile.
Thank you for helping us be sustainable and efficient!

Dumpster drop allowed and disallowed items:

ALLOWED:
Construction debris, Mattress/box springs, Microwaves, stoves, dishwashers, Household/office furnishings, Event/Food waste, Yard waste/landscaping debris, Wood, carpet, cardboard Manure/dirt Hot tubs (drained of liquids)

NOT ALLOWED:
Wet paint/stains, Light bulbs, Refrigerators/freezers with Freon, Car batteries, Chemicals/flammable liquids, Box TVs/computer monitors, Propane/Gasoline/oils, Automotive fluids, Industrial drums/railroad ties, Animal carcasses, Medical Waste: incl. needles, medications, bodily fluids or remains

It’s always best to chop down or disassemble large items such as mattresses, hot tubs, appliances,
furniture, tree logs, etc.

KCA Holiday Party and Building Plan Meeting

The KCA is excited to invite you to our holiday party and building plan meeting! We will be providing pizza from Sabella's, and KCA members are kindly asked to bring a side dish. In addition, Piney Wine and Spirits is generously sponsoring the meeting by providing wine. 

This is a kid-friendly event! Crafts with be provided to keep our younger members entertained. 

After the party, we'll get down to the important stuff: boosting community involvement and deciding the future of the building. We really want your thoughts! The KCA is going to present our vision for the building and will be asking for community input. You can weigh in on our survey early here!
